Coal India initiative

Coal India Ltd (CIL) has sponsored Rs 10 lakh for the supply of artificial limbs to 510 people who were affected in an ammunition dump explosion in Mozambique in March this year. The artificial limbs will be distributed at a rehabilitation camp to be organised in Mozambique shortly when a high-level team of the Indo-Mozambique Joint Working Group, comprising CIL officials and the Ministry of Coal, will be visiting the country. Coal India is pursuing the prospect of establi shing a coal mine in Mozambique, says a press release. —
