‘HoneyJax’ for Web 2.0 threats

Coimbatore, Aug. 8

Websense has unveiled an early warning system for Web 2.0 threats. The new technology spots social engineering attacks launched within Web 2.0 applications and delivers threat protection to customers within minutes, states a Websense release. The company perceives that the increased popularity of Web 2.0 applications drove hackers to target users and businesses using these tools. To combat this threat, Websense has deployed ‘HoneyJax’ — a system across th e Internet — that emulates user behaviour within Web 2.0 applications to uncover threats before they spread. . —
