Our Bureau

Hyderabad, Aug. 9 Surana Telecom, a Hyderabad-based manufacturer of telecom products, cables and jointing kits, is all set to commission a continuous cast rod plant and another conductor unit with a capacity of 10,000 tonnes a year. This is part of the company’s backward integration plan being executed at the existing facility at Cherlapally near Hyderabad.

Mr Narender Surana, Managing Director, told Business Line that these rods form part of the raw material for power cables and also meet the requirement of power utilities for overhead conductors. The company has invested Rs 4 crore in the project, which is set to go on stream later this month.
