Praj Ind opens unit at Kandla SEZ

Pune, Aug. 9

Praj Industries, a player in bio-fuel technology, has inaugurated a manufacturing unit at the Kandla Special Economic Zone (SEZ). Further expansion is on the anvil and is expected to be completed by December, Mr Pramod Chaudhari, Chairman, Praj Industries, said. The commissioned area is about 75,000 sq. ft. and has a capacity to manufacture 3,500 tonnes of equipment. Together with the planned expansion Praj would more than double its manufacturing capacity this year. The investment outlay for the facility is Rs 30 crore, Mr Chaudhari said, and added that the returns from this would flow in the current fiscal itself.
