Torrent launches laxative

Ahmedabad, Aug 9

The Ahmedabad-based Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd has launched a bulk laxative in tablet form, the company said in a release. The market for bulk laxatives is around Rs 40 crore and growing at eight per cent annually. The tablet, Fibotab, offers multiple benefits over conventional options available in the market by helping control certain types of diarrhoea as well treating constipation, the release added. – Our Bureau
