MRPL aid for mid-day meal scheme

Mangalore, Aug. 9

Samrakshan – the corporate social responsibility programme of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) – has joined hands with Akshayapatra Foundation of International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) to provide mid-day meals for school children at Katipalla and Krishnapura villages of Mangalore taluk under the ‘Akshayapatra’ scheme. A company release said here on Thursday that an MoU was signed with ISKCON in Mangalore recently, c ommitting Rs 36.41 lakh for a period of one year. Nearly 2,600 schoolchildren from 11 schools in the villages of Katipalla and Krishnapura will be benefited by this.
