JP Morgan sponsors Bloomberg terminal at IIM-A

Ahmedabad, Aug 10

In order to ensure that students at the Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad gain real-time access to business information, leading investment bank, J.P. Morgan, on Friday launched a Bloomberg terminal at the Institute here. The bank, having 60 years of experience in the country’s market providing strategic advisory and capital raising services to major corporate houses, financial institutions and the Government, has sponsored the facility initially for a year as part of its commitment to developing young talent and the institute where it actively recruits staff for the Indian businesses, according to a release here.

Speaking at the launch event, Mr Ramesh Narayanswamy, the bank’s Executive Director - Markets, said the facility has been promised to the IIM-A students in October last year.

Access to the likes of Bloomberg on a regular basis will help students stay up-to-date with business information from around the world.

Among those present were Ms Vedika Bhandarkar, Managing Director, Head of Investment Banking, J.P. Morgan India and an IIM-A alumnus, Mr LarryO’Donnell, Head Human Resources – India, and Dr Bakul H. Dholakia, Director, IIM-A.
