Visakhapatnam, Aug. 10 Ocean Park group, based in Hyderabad, is taking up two major projects in the north-coastal Andhra Pradesh in the vicinity of Vizag at an estimated approximate cost of Rs 600 crore and another major project in Hyderabad, said Mr M. Venkateswara Rao, Managing Director of the company.

At a press meet here on Friday evening, he said Prestige Golf City project would be taken up at Denkada in the Bhogapuram mandal on a 150-acre site, 37 km from Vizag and 9 km from Vizianagaram, on the banks of the Champavathi river. The colony will have a golf course, club house, gardens and all other amenities and facilities.

Prestige Blues would be taken up at Jeerupalem village on a 150-acre site. “We are planning to build a film studio, an amusement park and beach farm houses. We will create facilities for water sports. An undersea restaurant is also being planned, but we have to get the approval yet,” he said.

Mr Rao said the two projects would generate employment on a large scale, and at least 20,000 people would get jobs directly or indirectly. Further, they would provide a great boost to tourism in and around Visakapatnam. He said work had already begun on these projects and the first phase may be completed in one-and-a-half years.

Mr Rao said the company would organise a star nite here on Saturday evening, with several Telugu film stars, to announce the launch of the two projects here and a new one in Hyderabad.

Prestige Global City would be the new project being taken up by the company on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada highway, he said. “It will be a multi-architectural satellite township of a unique type. It will have residential apartments, individual bungalows and commercial complexes.”

Mr Yendamuri Virendranath, Telugu writer associated with the group, also spoke about the new projects.
