Centurion Bank cuts deposit rates

New Delhi, Aug. 10

Centurion Bank of Punjab on Friday announced reduction in deposit rates by 50 basis points across various maturities with effect from August 13. The current reduction is a reflection of similar rate revisions throughout the industry, a statement issued by CBP said. CBP is now offering 8 per cent interest rate for resident Indians for a deposit period of five years and above. Senior citizens would get interest of 8.5 per cent for the same period. —
