ERA meet to focus on retention

Our Bureau

Hyderabad, Aug. 13 The third convention hosted by ERA (Executive, Recruiters Association), Hyderabad, will be held here on September 1, with the theme ‘Aligning recruitment to retention: The way forward.’

The main sponsors for the convention are TCS, Satyam Computers, Convergys, IEG (Government of AP), Kenexa etc.

The earlier two conventions were well attended, according to a press release from the organisers.

Major concerns

Recruitment and retention are two areas of major concern for corporates across industries.

“We are trying to address these issues in the current convention. We shall have a mix of speakers from across industries who will give their perspective on the subject,” Mr N. Nagaraj, Convenor of ERA, Hyderabad, said.

ERA as a trade body is about four years old and is now gaining strength both in terms of numbers and visibility.

Gaining strength

Today it has 160 members, spread across eight chapters, with headquarters in Mumbai.

It is also in the process of aligning itself with other trade bodies like Nasscom, FICCI, CII, Assocham etc. and in due course and will be the focal point for all HR/recruitment-related activity.
