Off-shore Development Prime Tech to invest in new units
Our Bureau Hyderabad, Aug. 13 Prime Technology Group Inc, with operations in the US and Hyderabad, plans to invest up to $20 million for expansion in India and expects to ramp up headcount. The company, earlier called Knowledge Infotech, has undertaken a rebranding process. Mr Sudhakar Govardhanam, founder, President and CEO, said that the company would henceforth be called Prime and plans to invest in three new facilities in India. One centre relates to a new training facility in Visakhapatnam that has capability to train over 500 people and two new centres at Pune and Gurgaon. These three centres would complement the company’s operations in the US and at Hyderabad. Mr Govardhanam told Business Line that the company has a different business model wherein a lot of work is handled onsite for enterprises in the US. The company is now in the process of stepping up offsite work. As a part of expansion, Prime Technology is close to striking a $50-million deal with a private equity player in the US and expects to announce this shortly.
