JETRO hardsells Japan to Indian investors

Bangalore, Aug 14 Japan could well offer an alternative to Indian companies looking to spread their business risk looming large following the weakening of the dollar .

Japan’s recent strategy to woo India both as a market for its goods and services and attracting investments from India found its expression in the one-day meeting organised by the Japan External Trade Organisation (JETRO), a division of the Ministry of Economic Trade and Industry and the Confederation of Indian Industry here on Monday.

Spearheading Japan’s eagerness to enlist India as a strong partner, representatives of the organisation in Bangalore and Delhi , Mr Kazumasa Kuboki and Mr Kei Kawano extolled the advantages of the country as an investment destination while highlighting the facilitation service provided by JETRO.
