Agilent's education initiative

Coimbatore, Aug. 14

Agilent Technologies has started an initiative which is aimed at spreading environmental education among teachers and students in schools in the NCR area. Though the India initiative is very recent, Agilent, according to a release, has been sponsoring the Clean Air Challenge (CAC) workshop series in the US since 2003. High school teachers are trained on environmental topics, provided education resources and an international communication platform for environmental education. The programme includes online games, student activities, project ideas and workshopsfor educators. It is supported by the Indo-US Science and Technology Forum. More than 25 high school teachers underwent trainingunder this programme in the NCR area. Agilent plans to extend such workshop series to the other parts of the country as well. - Our Bureau
