SoftJin adopts hybrid model

SoftJin Technologies, an electronic design automation tool development firm, has announced corporate developments.

The company is now adopting a hybrid model composed of outsourced R&D services and EDA products. The outsourced R&D services will target the semiconductor design and manufacturing domain and include EDA software development, FPGA-based design and verification services for the semiconductor industry.

It has set up an offshore development centre in India for Cswitch Corporation, a semiconductor company. As per the agreement, SoftJin will have a dedicated team developing a variety of system tools, user tools and provide other design related services for Cswitch’s Configurable Switch Array.

The company has also announced new offerings in the Post Layout EDA space. These include NXCompare, a fast and versatile IC Layout and Mask Data Comparison tool, that compares any two IC layout and/or mask databases. It is SoftJin’s first end user distributed processing application based on Nirmaan software development toolkit.

SoftJin also announced the availability of Nirmaan 3.0, the upgraded version of its software development toolkit.
