French salon chain’s India plans

New Delhi, Aug. 16

Jean Claude Biguine, the €150-million hair and beauty salon chain, plans to open 50 salons and spas in India with an investment of around Rs 2.5-3 crore. “We’ll have three to four ‘House of Beauty’ salons each in Mumbai and Delhi by 2007-08, offering international quality services by global and local professionals, trained to deliver contemporary beauty services. We are planning to peg our prices in the aspirational zone, approximately 20-25 per cent higher than established salons ,” said Mr Dharmendra, CEO, Jean Claude Biguine, India. The chain will eventually open around 50 outlets in the next four years, he added.
