New Delhi, Aug. 17

Essar Steel has announced that it has appointed Mr Jatinder Mehra as the Chief Executive Officer of Essar Steel Holdings Ltd. Mr Mehra has been associated with the Essar Group since 1997 in various capacities, including Managing Director of Essar Steel. “In his new role as CEO, he will be responsible for all the operations and projects of the steel business of Essar, including mines, in India and internationally,” a release from the company said on Friday. Prio r to joining Essar, Mr Mehra had worked with reputed public sector and private steel companies, including Steel Authority India Ltd. He was also the Chairman and Managing Director of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Ltd. —
