Hardware Marketing - Channels and Franchises Philips teams up with SES Tech
Coimbatore, Aug. 18 Besides foraying into the IT accessories and computer peripherals segment, Philips Electronics has also forged an alliance with SES Technologies for pan-India distribution of its products. The foray, according to a release, has been in line with the company’s vision of emerging a market leader in the IT accessories and computer peripherals segment by 2010. In the first phase of the launch, Philips plans to introduce DVD Writers, Mouse and keyboards, Multimedia speake rs, Webcams and External Hard Disk Drives. It would leverage on SES’ network to reach the target audience in India. Commenting on the development, its Director (Entertainment Solutions, Consumer Electronics), Mr Gunjan Srivastava, said the company would offer the latest range of its global products to customers here. The company is a subsidiary of the Netherlands-based Royal Philips Electronics. — Our Bureau
