Summit on productivity from Aug 23

Hyderabad, Aug. 19

The Indian Machine Tool Manufacturers’ Association (IMTMA) is organising Productivity Summit 2007 during August 23-25 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC). IMTMA is a close affiliate of CII and the apex association of the machine tool industry in India. The three-day summit will address and demonstrate a wide array of productivity-related issues through case studies and keynotes by renowned experts. The event will bring together individuals and cor porations from varied segments of metalworking manufacturing industries to discuss, deliberate and share experiences on ways and means to enhance productivity, in order to achieve manufacturing excellence, according to Mr V. Anbu, Executive Director. Coinciding with the summit, IMTMA and Siemens have instituted the IMTMA-Siemens Productivity Championship Awards to acknowledge and recognise the creativity and innovativeness of Indian manufacturers in attaining highest level of productivity. Companies such as Amara Raja Batteries, Bajaj Auto, Bharat Heavy Electricals and Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India will showcase their efforts at the summit, he added. Over 600 delegates from across India, including CEOs, senior executives, practicing engineers, R&D specialists, consultants, industry experts, technologists and middle management personnel will participate in the event.
