Spanish region seeks tie-ups with Kerala

Kochi, Aug. 19 Castilla y Leon, the largest region in Spain, is keen to enter into joint venture with entrepreneurs in Kerala on projects of compatibility, according to Ms Mar Sancho, Director of Cooperation and Development for the Regional Government of Castilla y Leon.

Speaking at an interactive roundtable discussion on ‘Interaction on Industrial Cooperation with Spain’, organised by the Kerala Management Association (KMA) here on Saturday, she said that Spain offered wide opportunities for starting joint ventures with them.

In his presentation, Mr Alberto Pascual, Assistant Director of Investment and Trade, Government of Castilla y Leon said that the Spanish region was strong in food processing, dairy, pharmaceuticals and IT.

The two-member Spanish delegation is conducting a preliminary study on the areas of mutual interest, a KMA release said.
