CBS roll-out at Lakshmi Vilas

Coimbatore, Aug. 20

With the roll-out of the Core Banking Solution at its Cantonment branch in Bangalore, Lakshmi Vilas Bank has networked 100 of its 236 branches under the centralised banking platform.

The bank plans to extend the CBS facility to another 100 branches by the end of the current fiscal. Outlining the future plans, its General Manager, Mr R. Sridharan, said 15 new branches would come up across the country during the current year.

It is also planning to introduce Internet banking and mobile banking services in the coming months. “We intend to provide a platform for trading in the equity and commodities market as we foresee substantial demand for these products,” he said. The bank is targeting a business volume of Rs 11,200 cr this fiscal.
