Hyderabad, Aug. 20

The Andhra Pradesh Government would present its views on the Prime Minister’s package for the farm sector at the two-day regional meeting scheduled for September 7 and 8 in Bangalore.

The package is aimed at providing succour to the districts that are hit by severe agrarian crisis.

The Bangalore conference is being convened by the Centre as part of its plan to organise regional meetings across the country to elicit the views of the affected States and form guidelines.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, the Andhra Pradesh Minister for Agriculture, Mr N. Raghuveera Reddy, said the Government had asked the district collectors to put forth their views.
