ABG Shipyard delivers 2 tug supply vessels

New Delhi, Aug. 21 ABG Shipyard has announced that it has delivered two anchor handling tug supply vessels – one to UAE-based Lamnalco Group and another to Deep Sea Supply ASA, Norway.

The Lamnalco Macaw, worth $8.165 million, is a 53-m-long 90-tonne vessel, which can carry out anchor handling, towing, rescue, offshore supply, transport pipes, fresh water, diesel oil, stores, materials and equipment, move men and materials between platforms and shore, external fire fighting and other related duties, said a press release.

The vessel is used to supply and support the Floating Production Offloading Storage vessels, offshore oil and gas fields on a 24-hour per day basis. The Lamnalco Macaw is the second vessel to be delivered to Lamnalco in this financial year.

The second vessel, a 63.4-m-long, 80-tonne Sea Otter, can carry out anchor and dry bulk handling, and towing rescue, among others.
