Corporate forests

Many corporates are expanding their operations and are vying with each other to get a slice of the pie in Special Economic Zones (SEZs). As many of these companies may cause considerable damage to the ecosystem, they should give something back to Nature.

Perhaps, they can think in terms of increasing the green cover around their factories. To make this a reality, they can allot 15-20 per cent of their total land-holdings to grow forests in their industrial belt. This will ensure more lung-space and less global warming. The productivity of employees working in such an atmosphere will also be, high on account of breathing fresh air.
