Awards & Honours States - Kerala SIFL bags best PSU award
Our Bureau Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 21 The Thrissur-based Steel and Industrial Forgings Ltd. (SIFL) has bagged the first ever award for the best performing public sector undertaking instituted by the Kerala Industries and Commerce Department. The Managing Director of SIFL, Mr. K. Shamsudeen, was chosen as the best Chief Executive of a PSU. Announcing the awards, the Industries Minister, Mr Elamaram Kareem, said the awards had been instituted as part of the Government’s efforts to encourage the PSUs to perform better. Special awards were won by the Managing Director of Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation, Mr P.H. Kurien, the Chairman and Managing Director of Malabar Cements and Palakkad Collector, Mr K.S. Srinivasan, the Managing Director of United Electrical Company, Mr R. Suku, and the Managing Director of Kerala State Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Mr K.G. Ajithkumar. Horticorp supply
The Kerala State Horticulture Corporation (Horticop) will supply 1.5 lakh vegetable kits at Rs 100 per kit during the Onam festival. The supply of the kits will begin on August 25. The Department of Agriculture has made arrangements for supply of farm and other products in all the panchayat and municipal areas, said the Agriculture Minister, Mr Mullakara Ratnakaran.
