Runwal Housing plans mega project in Hadapsar

Pune Aug 21 Mega housing projects, integrated township, setting up of IT park, is the road map that the Pune-based Runwal Housing, has chalked out for itself.

Talking to presspersons, Mr Sanjay Runwal, Chief Executive Office and Partner, Runwal Housing, said it would begin the construction of a 700-flat housing project at Hadapsar in Pune with an investment of Rs 200 crore and would be spread over 12 acres.

He said the investment would be through the foreign directinvestment) and the holding pattern would be 51:49 but did not name the FDI partner.

Mr Sanjay said it is also venturing outside of Pune for the first time and has identified Nagpur for setting up an IT park, spread over 30 acres of land and adjacent to an existing SEZ (special economic zone). He said for both the projects, land has been acquired.

Runwal Group

Mr Sanjay said he moved away from his family firm Runwal Group in 2001 and named the new company Runwal Housing to construct smaller and stand-alone residential projects in Pune.

He said Runwal Housing has completed 25 stand alone residential projects during the past five years and has a turnover of Rs 50 crore. Mr Sanjay added that it is also looking at setting up an integrated township in the periphery of Pune.
