CCMB Director awarded

Dr Lalji Singh, Director, Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), here has been awarded the Rajiv Gandhi Rashtriya Ekta Samman 2007 for his outstanding achievements and contributions in Science and Technology and as an institution builder.

Dr Singh was instrumental in setting up of a new facility, Laboratory for Conservation of Endangered Species (LaCONES), in addition to contributions in DNA fingerprinting and setting up of the Centre for DNA Fingerprinting and Diagnostics here. - Our Bureau
