PSL bags $2.4-m order from Oman

Mumbai, Aug 21

PSL Ltd has bagged a $2.4-million order in Oman for supply of steel pipes to network its water sector. The company recently set up a new pipe manufacturing facility in the Hamriyah Fee Trade Zone in Sharjah. PSL's order book, after the Omani order, will exceed Rs 2,300 crore, a major part of which will be complete within March 2008.

The Sharjah facility, which will cater to the oil and gas industry within Gulf Co-operation Council countries, manufactures pipes with a diameter range of 16-80 inches, wall thickness of up to 20 mm, lengths of up to 40 feet and grades of up to API X70. It will also provide coating services both on-shore and offshore. - Our Bureau
