Wipro’s Cario development centre

Bangalore, Aug. 22

Wipro is setting up a global development centre in Smart Village, Cairo, to offer IT services to the West Asian and global markets. The company signed an MoU with the Information Technology Industry Development Agency, an Egyptian government entity, in this regard. Wipro had started its operations in West Asia in 2001. The company has a strong customer base across West Asia with operations spread across Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE. Some of Wipro& #8217;s customers in the region include Sharjah Electricity and Water Authority, Metal, Dubai eGovernment, Qatar Petroleum, Bahraini Saudi Bank, Future Communications Company, Kuwait, Doha Bank, PetroRabigh, SASREF and Saudi Polyolefins Company. —
