Bajaj Electricals signs MoU

Pune, Aug. 23

Bajaj Electricals Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Italian company Nardi Elettrodomestici S.p.A to bring Bajaj Nardi branded gas appliances into India through its appliances business unit. The agreement covers the import, use of the brand name, assembly and manufacture for hobs, gas tables, cooking range and chimneys.

Mr R. Ramakrishnan, Executive Director, BEL, said that the premium segment appliances would first be introduced by November as completely built units. "Over a period, we will examine localisation and indigenous production," he added. BEL is apart of the Bajaj Group and has five business units with a turnover of Rs 1,113 crore last fiscal. - Our Bureau
