Hyderabad, Aug. 23 A consortium of soya-promoting organisations are jointly hosting the 3rd International seminar on “Soya Foods - Farm to Kitchen” beginning here on Friday. The two-day event will enable the soya food industry and potential investors, industrialist and prospective entrepreneurs, administrators and planners, corporate participating in procurement ,traders, and exporters/importers to come together on a common platform and discuss various problems and evolve strategies to discuss trade issues likely to impact the soy food products in the domestic and global markets.

The Soy Food Promotion & Welfare Association (SFPWA), Soya Processors Association of India (SOPA) and ASA-International Marketing have planned to organise the seminar along with, several other soya food promotion activities as Soya Week during August 20-25.

Market places

The technical sessions will focus on the “Global Market–Overview and Trends, Innovation in Technology and Products”, “Soya - Marketing with prospective of Consumer acceptance” and “Soya in sustainable Nutrition”, according to a press release.

A special interactive session –Market Place: In order to create linkage among all the segments of soya food industries as well as to explore new product development and technology is being organised. Five different Market Places will be held during the seminar.

This will enable relevant industries to exhibit their products/equipment, etc. in particular market place at particular time. It will enable different soy food processions and equipment suppliers to participate in a big way, the release added.

The following five market places have been identified: Global Soya Market Place (Exhibition of Global Soya Food Products), Whole Soyabean Products Market (Exhibition of Whole Soyabean; Products - Nuts Soya flour, flakes, etc.) Soya Technology Market Place ((Exhibition Soy food Machinery and Equipment), Market Place for Soya Protein Market (Exhibition of Soya Protein and Extruded Products); Market Place of Soya based traditional foods (Exhibition and tasting of different products).
