FII holdings in ICICI Bank

Mumbai, Aug. 24

The Reserve Bank of India today permitted foreign investment in ICICI Bank shares, as the share of Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) has gone down below the trigger limit of 74 per cent of its paid-up capital. In a press release issued today, the RBI said FIIs, non-resident Indians and persons of Indian origin could purchase shares of ICICI Bank under the portfolio investment scheme through the secondary market in India. –
