LIC Madurai adopts e-system

Madurai, Aug. 24 Mr S. Chandrasekar, Senior Divisional Manager LIC, said at a press meet here that the divisional office has introduced Enterprising Data Management System to keep the records in electronic form and move towards paperless transactions. Also, the division has introduced Electronic Clearing System in all its branches to facilitate the policyholders avail themselves of automatic debit of premium from bank accounts.

Referring to the performance of the division, he said that the division has sold 1.32 lakh Money Plus policies that was recently withdrawn, with the mobilisation amounting to Rs 133 crore. During the first fortnight of this month, the division has sold 73,432 policies, collecting a premium of Rs 82 crore. Based on performance, the division has been placed at the number one position in South Zone, he added.
