Honeywell, TCE tie up for incubation unit

Madurai, Aug. 24 Honeywell Technology Solutions Lab (HTSL), Bangalore, popularly known as Honeywell and Thiagarajar College of Engineering (TCE), Madurai have joined hands to promote an innovation incubation centre as an industry-institution initiative in education and research.

As part of this initiative, while Honeywell will train students on innovation tool through workshops, TCE will introduce innovation as a subject with credit in the second year of engineering course. Students would submit proposals on innovation topics in third year and the business proposals in the fourth year. They together would nurture the best business ideas by helping the students through innovation scholarships.

Announcing this in a joint press meet, Mr Krishna Mikkllineni, Vice President and Managing Director, Honeywell said that TCE has been supportive in more ways than one, from providing infrastructure to catering consistently to the talent pipeline with its high standards.

Mr Karumutto T.Kannan, Correspondent, TCE, said that both faculty and students benefited through the association with Honeywell in terms of training and development of basic and applied research skills.
