New resort at Rushikonda

Visakhapatnam, Aug. 26

Vinayagar Hotels and Resorts Private Ltd (Vihar), a beachside restaurant and resort, was inaugurated here at Rushikonda beach on Sunday. Developed by the promoters as a joint venture with the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (APTDC), it is meant to cater to the needs of the growing number of tourists to Visakhapatnam, according to Mr Venugopal, Chief Executive Officer. He told presspersons that the company was given two acres of land on a 25-year lease by the beach by the Greater Visakha Municipal Corporation (GVMC) to set up the resort. He said, “We have spent Rs 1 crore on the construction of a lounge bar and restaurant, food courts and banqueting facilities. It will offer a panoramic glimpse of the Bay of Bengal and it will have the right atmosphere and ambience for weddings, private parties and conferences.” The tariff, he added, would be reasonable. —
