Hyderabad, Aug. 27

With a view to offering its passengers connectivity to many destinations in Europe and North Africa, Jet Airways has initiated talks with several airlines that are operating in those regions.

The airline hopes that the passengers could catch connecting flights to other destinations in Europe after they landed in its Brussels hub.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, Ms Ragini Chopra, Vice-President of the airline, said the company awaited permissions to launch services to the Gulf. “We hope to start services to that region in early 2008,” she said.

Chennai-Toronto flight

The airline, which recently connected Toronto (Canada) with Mumbai and Delhi, announced plans to launch Chennai-Toronto service in October.

The airline hoped that the new flight would help passengers from Hyderabad as it was connected well with Chennai, Mumbai and Hyderabad.

A high-level Jet team was here to showcase the sophisticated seating offerings on its international flights to travel agents, tour operators and corporates. The company also unveiled its new logo.
