Meet on entrepreneurship

Mangalore, Aug. 28

The Aloysius Institute of Business Administration (AIBA) — a unit of St Aloysius College, Mangalore — organised PRAGATI 2007 (a one-day symposium on innovation and entrepreneurship) here on Tuesday. Speaking on the occasion, Fr. Denzil Lobo, Director of AIBA, said that the symposium provides a platform for students to understand the process of entrepreneurship and the relevance of business guru Mr Peter F. Drucker in modern management. On innovation, he said that simple ideas have given rise to big corporations in the world. Mr M.A. Khan, General Manager, Corporation Bank, who inaugurated the symposium, said that there is a need to build core competence in today’s competitive world. Knowledge backed by skill is important in this regard, he said. Dr P.G. Aquinas, Dean, AIBA, was also present on the occasion.
