Footwear meet begins in Chennai today

New Delhi, Aug. 29 The Commerce Secretary, Mr Gopal K. Pillai, will inaugurate the 26th International Footwear Conference in Chennai on August 30.

The three-day event will have participation from nine major footwear manufacturing countries from Asia and a number of footwear importing countries such as US, Spain and Italy.

The conference will discuss topics such as design inputs, while designing comfort footwear, latest technology in sports footwear and emerging trends in retailing in India.
