MRPL begins online forex trading

Mangalore, Aug. 31 Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL), a subsidiary of ONGC, has executed an initiative in forex trading by installing a Reuters Dealing Terminal (RDT) at its premises.

A company release said here on Friday that Mr Lalit Kumar Gupta, Director (Finance), inaugurated the online trading on Thursday with a purchase of $5 million in which leading banks from public sector, private sector and international markets participated.

The release said that now MRPL will do real-time trading online for forex, minimising operational risks and undertake direct tapping into the liquidity in the market.
