The Hindu Business Line : Sobha Group wins Rs 10-cr order

Bangalore, Aug. 31 The Sobha Group has won a Rs 10-crore order for its lifestyle products — Sobha Restoplus (spring mattresses) and furniture that it manufactures — from Roots Corporation’s Ginger Hotels for its upcoming properties.

The order will be completed in a phased manner over a period of 18 to 24 months, the company informed the BSE .

The first property that the group would provide these products to would be the upcoming one at Puducherry, said Mr Raghav Menon, Vice-President, Retail.

He added that he was not sure of the number of hotels that the group would be working on.

Sobha Group is also planning to launch ‘Sobha Home Stores’, retail marts that would “have on offer everything except grocery,” he said. There are plans to set up the first two stores in Thrissur — at the upcoming Sobha City, and Bangalore — Sobha Global Mall, in about 18 months time.
