Minister approves industrial region project in M.P.

New Delhi, Sept. 2 Union Minister of Commerce and Industry has accorded approval to the Pitampura-Dhar-Mhow industrial region in “Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor” Project.

In a communication to the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh on Sunday, Mr Kamal Nath, has expressed confidence that with this approval, Madhya Pradesh would join other front line States in developing modern industrial infrastructure and investment environment in the country. The move was aimed at attracting international investors especially those from Japan, said a government press release.

Mr Nath has also informed that the investment regions of Pitampura-Dhar-Mhow and industrial area of Neemuch-Nayagaon will have requisite industrial infrastructure such as industrial estates, knowledge hubs, agro-processing hubs, IT/ ITES hubs, logistics hubs and physical infrastructure (feeder roads/rail lines, ports, airports, power etc.) The project proposes to leverage the rail connectivity offered by Delhi-Mumbai Dedicated Rail Freight Corridor and road connectivity by the National Quadrilateral developed under the National Highway Programme. Mr Nath said that after completion of the project youths would have the benefit of jump in doubling the employment potential, tripling industrial output and quadrupling exports.
