Railways States - Tamil Nadu Goldenrock workshop bags order from Railway Board
Our Bureau Tiruchi, Sept. 2 The Goldenrock railway workshop here has been awarded a new order from the Railway Board for the manufacture of 240 BOXNHL wagons - a stainless steel unit with a high payload designed to overcome problems of corrosion, body bulging, and weak stanchions in the existing wagons. A press release from the workshop here said the 38th rake, containing 45 low container flat wagons meant for the Container Corporation of India, was flagged off by Mr V. Thyagarajan, General Manager, Welding Research Institute, BHEL at the workshop premises here on Saturday. The workshop is gearing up for the production of 1,000 wagons per year considering the huge demand by the Container Corporation, the release added.
