Maintain growth momentum

‘Economy on a roll; GDP up 9.3% in Q1’ (Business Line, September 1) is good news, more so because agriculture growth is estimated at about 4 per cent.

Good rainfall may be a contributor to this growth. It is necessary to maintain this and aim at a higher growth through more investment and reforms.

Also, steps to accelerate poverty eradication, and achieving education and health targets should be taken.

A Jacob Sahayam, Thiruvananthapuram
