BHEL confident of APGenco order

Tiruchi, Sept. 3

The BHEL, Tiruchi Complex, could despatch the 500 MW unit for the Kothagudem Thermal Power Station’s Extension Project in a record six months time. Mr M.V.V. Rao, Director (Projects), Andhra Pradesh Power Generation Corporation (APGenco), Hyderabad, flagged off the first consignment at the shipping yard.

Mr Rao reiterated his confidence over BHEL’s performance in executing the corporation’s orders. With BHEL proving its technological excellence and capabilities in execution of power projects of 500 MW rating, the APGenco had placed the contract for the supply and erection of the main plant package for two separate 500 MW thermal power stations in Andhra Pradesh. —
