Workshop on Indo-EU trade pact today

Our Bureau

New Delhi, Sept. 4 To look at the issues and concerns of stakeholders of various Indian states on the forthcoming India EU Trade and Investment Agreement negotiations, a workshop is being organised in the Capital on September 5.

India and the European Communities have recently launched discussions for a bilateral trade and investment agreement which would include the FTA on goods and services as well as agreements on investment and other areas.

The EC and India expect to promote bilateral trade by removing barriers to trade in goods and services and investment across all sectors of the economy.

The workshop is being organised jointly by Department of Commerce, United Nations Conference on Trade and Development India Project and the FICCI.
