Arrivals begin: Gooseberry or amla, which has begun to arrive in the markets, being sold at a market in Guwahati. Currently, it is quoted at Rs 16 a kg. Amla (Phyllanthus emblica ) is a sub-tropical fruit available almost in all parts of the country and is one of the richest sources of vitamin C. Besides, it is used in making variety of juices and pickles. –
