Syndicate Bank savings account

Mumbai, Sept. 4

Syndicate Bank, Mumbai Region, has opened 800 savings bank accounts for housemaids in the past one month. Different branches of Mumbai Region are carrying out this campaign, under the bank's financial inclusion programme. The bank is working jointly with Gharkam Molkarni Sanghatana for this campaign, said an official from the bank. On September 1, the bank organised a savings bank account opening campaign in Prabhadevi, where it opened 100 accounts for housemaids. The meeting was addressed by Mr Subhash Malhotra, General Manager, Syndicate Bank, Mumbai Region, said a press release from the bank. - Our Bureau
