Mangalore, Sept. 5 Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) has signed a four-year product supply agreement, extendable by another two years with Shell India Marketing Pvt Ltd. The products include all grades of MS (motor spirit) and HSD (high-speed diesel).

The new agreement, which will become operational from October, covers not only fuel supply but also infrastructure-sharing and hospitality, and collaboration on health, security, safety and environmental management procedures and practices.

A company release said here that MRPL started offering products to Shell in 2004 and since then, the latter’s offtake has been steadily rising. The agreement was signed by Mr R. Rajamani, Managing Director, MRPL, and Mr Surinderdeep Singh, Managing Director, Shell India Marketing Pvt Ltd, in the presence of Mr R.S. Sharma, Chairman, MRPL, and Mr Vikram Singh Mehta, Chairman of Shell Group of companies in India.
