Award for TV serial

GV Films’ three-dimensional TV serial Mayavi has bagged a special award at Global TV Drama Awards at Seoul, South Korea. According to Mr A. Venkatramani, Director, GV Films, the Seoul Drama Award 2007 attracted 130 entries in 20 categories from across the globe. It includes 34 entries from India. Announcing this at a press conference here, Mr A. Venkatramani, Director, GV Films, said the company proposes to dub the 26-episode Mayavi into all major languages. The Malayalam version of the serial is currently on air in Kairali TV. “We also propose to make a film based on the concept,” he said. According to him, the TV serial is expected to add about Rs 4 crore to the company’s bottomline.
