Consulting India hub for QAI’s global operations
The company has made inroads into some leading corporate houses including Satyam Computer
V. Rishi Kumar Hyderabad, Sept. 6 The Indian operation of QAI has become a hub for its global operations with the company executing scores of overseas projects in Egypt, Singapore, China and the Asia Pacific region. The company is poised to build on this by expanding its operations both for consultancy and technology management education arm Editsa and has lately made inroads into some of the leading corporate houses in India including Satyam Computer and supports multinational technology companies. Expansion plans
The Chief Executive Officer of QAI India, Mr Navyug Mohnot, said that the company has embarked on a process of expansion and has invested about Rs 5 crore thus far during the year and expects to deploy another Rs 10 crore to create new centres and step up research work to complement its consultancy. The company is planning to hike the number of consultants from 150 to 500. Operational excellence
Mr Mohnot told Business Line that QAI’s focus on operational excellence in project management, innovation, change management and human capital fits well into the technology sector, which is constantly innovating to improve in ternal efficiencies. Through processes and management tools, enterprises and even Governments can bring about excellence. “This has resulted in significant wins and we have recently begun to work with Satyam Computer with 40,000 licences, and also work with Wipro, HCL and HP,” he said. “The investments would now go into the educational arm of QAI through Edista (which means learning in Finnish) centres. We do not want to be in the domain where NIIT and Aptech serve. This is an extremely focussed area of management and comes through a combination of online, on-demand and instructor-lead learning. We expect to set up centres in IT hubs of the country,” he said. QAI now provides implementation and support work to Egypt, Singapore, China, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh and even some countries in the West and sees similar engagements in India in eGovernance projects.
