Mumbai, Sept. 6 Tata Consultancy Services said it has inducted four of its senior executives into its board of directors. Executive vice-presidents, Mr N. Chandrasekaran, Mr S. Mahalingam, Mr S. Padmanabhan and Mr P.A. Vandrevala, are now whole-time executive directors on the board. Mr Chandrasekaran has additionally been appointed Chief Operating Officer of the company. Mr Mahalingam continues as the Chief Financial Officer. Mr S. Ramadorai, CEO and MD, said: “Given the size of th e company’s business, the directors have decided to induct four senior executives on to the board of directors.” TCS board now has 12 directors, including six independent directors. The independent directors are Mr Ron Sommer, former chairman of Deutsche Telekom, Harvard professor Clayton Christensen; former HSBC chief, Mr Aman Mehta; former Indian cabinet secretary, Mr Naresh Chandra; Head of Glaxo Smithkline, Asia, Mr V. Thyagarajan and Mr Laura Cha, a member of the Executive Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. The other two directors are Mr Ramadorai himself and Mr Ratan Tata who is the Chairman. — Our Bureau
